Possible location of the Encrypted Journal?

May 12, 2005: "Fifthnail" Re: protect directories and/or folders? click link. Fifthnail posted this at 3:14. Didn't sound crazy in his post, just VERY worried about "My directories are completely wide open! Perhaps Microsoft will wise up to the security issues around IIS or at least add something similar to .htaccess so we can .htpasswd protect our folders." Also lists http://www.downdoggy.com/ as his site...could this be Duncan and the location of the encrypted journal?
Is this where his site is hosted?

This was the day AFTER his May 11, 2005: The Demons Have Taken Over Entry & the day before his May 13, 2005: Still Confused Entry

I saw this days ago and I must have been tired, because I didn't look at the dates. He joined and posted the same day...May 12, 2005

The interesting line is "It makes it really hard for a system administrator protecting my system."

Hmmm. Not "It makes it hard as a system administrator protecting my system."

Simply semantics, or is someone else protecting his system?

after reading all of the posts, blogs, links and whatever else is out there for us to read, I've come to the conclusion that we just need to let the FBI do it's job and that we need to stop over analizing every single thing that this man ever did, said or wrote about.
Instead of spending so much trying to solve a case that we have no training to do, perhaps we should be more worried about how to protect our children from monster's like this man!

True but we still can protect our children and still analize. Nothing wrong with it. Gives us a little bit a peace knowing we are getting educated on how a person like this is in our society acts and trying to get sense of all this sh@t.

No, there is nothing wrong with analizing....as long as it doesn't become far fetched like many of these postings are. We have people acting like they are the lead investigator on this case, when in actuallity, if they were, their ideas would have gotten them kicked off the case a long time ago.

Farfetched ideas - which one(s) do you think is the most "out there"?

any thought is a thought..its better than no thoughts all together...When people put their heads together, its amazing what can be found..

I think there's a sense of powerlessness over these crimes.

All over the country, people are speculating in person, over the phone, and on the web - perhaps trying to come to grips with the how and why of Duncan.

LE also relies on tips and leads - some that seem bizarre at the time, but later play a critical part in solving the crime. And if any of us, in some small way, can help, why not? There's a difference between interfering with the case and simply sending tips to the LE.

Thank you...that is EXACTLY why I put up this blog. Our blog.
I don't like to get involved in bickering, everyone has their own opinions. I would appreciate anyone posting on my blog not to belittle anyone or anything posted. All it does is detract from the purpose of THE CELLAR.
Thanks to all the faithful "CELLAR DWELLERS"!!!

this is off-topic, scroll down on this page to 'fifthnail's' entry. Is this Duncan looking for 'graphics'?

notice the mispelling and 'teen-talk' he uses.

This is what many have been referring to as his "encrypted journal". It's PGP-encrypted message posted in alt.anonymous.messages under the topic "Attn: PoliceSuck". Throughout the message, you can find several instances of jEt, JEt, jeT, etc. He's no fan of cops, so the topic makes sense, and that group would be an appropriate place to post for him. But the instances of "jet" in the message body may not mean anything. I don't think PGP would leave any message text unencrypted. A thought: he could have encrypted it, then salted it with "jet"'s to lead a search to it. Take out the "jet"s, and have a go at decryption. Good luck with that on PGP. If it's possible, you or I won't hear about it.

The:
http://www.lovelife.com/Valentine2.html
is not Jet. Jet was in prison during the entire 1998 year; check the TimeLine here.

The person who previously had fithnail.com must have let it expire. Then Jet got it later.

I doubt the:
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/alt.anonymous.messages/browse_thread/thread/7e64d33492e6c3c5/a748cded5714c6a8?q=jetd+lcd&rnum=1&hl=en#a748cded5714c6a8
link is Jet. This data is dated in 2004.

If you read Jet's May 13, 2005 Blog-entry again, one gets the feeling he has started this Encrypted Journal recently.
We the public cannot tell when he started, but surely if he was posting his Journal to USENET (which is a good method to document), he would have included the Idaho events.
I think Jet wants us to know what stuff he did and he really really really wants us to blame ourselves for, what he thinks, making him do it.
I mean it is a constant theme (of blaming society) in his writing and websites. Jet spends a lot of time finding ways to tell us to back off of him or the pressure he feels we are giving him will drive him to commit more crime.
